Wedding Ceremonies :

The Granaries on Bear Mountain in Dawson Creek, BC offers the perfect location for outdoor wedding ceremonies, light receptions and wedding photos for just the two of you or up to 200 guests.

The Gardens present many enchanting settings including a garden lake, rockeries , bridges, parterre, arbors, lawns,woods, fields and short trails. In summer, the round granary is available for small intimate ceremonies while the Inn is an casually elegant venue for slightly larger celebrations year round if you don't want to bet on the weather.

We can make suggestions to help you plan the ultimate wedding and refer you to qualified professionals for some of the many details.There are many options for customizing
your event and keeping it affordable. All our events are
naturally green.

N.B. All photography, chairs, live music, catering, marriage commissioner, floral and other service arrangements are the responsibility of the wedding couple though we are happy to make recommendations and help coordinate. Other wedding policies are outlined on our facility rental agreement.

*Secret Hearts Elopement                         $200
    Just the two of you
    · Can be arranged with as little as 2 days notice.
    · Information on obtaining marriage license
    · Hosts can act as witnesses or you can include your own
    · Champagne toast or non alcoholic beverage
    · Music, wedding photo CD compiled by host
    · Cake, cutlery, plates, champagne flutes, napkins
    · Any decorations, flowers or other food you wish to supply

Wedding packages can be further customised by adding a la carte items such as the honeymoon night.
A non-refundable $250 deposit is required to secure your date. Balance is due 1 month prior to the wedding.

The Granaries on Bear Mountain is an ideal location for family reunions, anniversaries, corporate picnics, garden teas, festivals, wine & cheese receptions and outdoor music concerts.The whole property can be booked for large multi day private/public functions.

Film and Photo Shoots:

    Rural estate property with over 5 acres encompassing styles from formally elegant to wildly informal.Indoor/outdoor photography locations. Features include a garden lake, rock gardens , bridges,
parterre, arbors, lawns,woods, fields and short trails. Numerous props including an antique day bed, chess court, and a variety of benches.
    The Granaries on Bear Mountain has been included on two Annual Garden tours by the Dawson Creek Horticulture Society was and was recently featured in Canadian Home and Country Magazine.

Wedding Promotions & Events

The Granaries on Bear Mountain is pleased to be one of only three early bird prize sponsors for the Ultimate Wedding Show in Grande Prairie, January 27th, 2008. The winner will receive will receive a complete Estate Wedding package valued at $700.
